Coworking Spaces

For a city whose backbone is built on entrepreneurship, it’s not surprising to see a growth in coworking spaces on the Gold Coast, along with an increasing number of start-ups that are making use of these spaces.

The basic principal of coworking spaces has been tracked back hundreds of years to artist and writer collective communities who came together in a single location to master their art.

In 2005, Brad Neuberg coined the term ‘coworking space’when he established the first recognised coworking site in San Francisco – Hat Factory.

Today, we’re seeing coworking spaces pop up in major cities all over the world as places where professionals can come together, collaborate and share ideas and knowledge, or simply where people can work in a shared physical office.
